Lars Laumann (Norwegian, 1975), draws inspiration from the outskirts of popular culture, particularly from the phenomenon that exists on the margins of contemporary society. His works explores ideas of fandom, obsession, objectophilia, conspiracies and love, both romantic and divine. Laumann, represented by Maureen Paley in London has received significant international recognition including exhibitions at White Columns, Marian Goodman Gallery and the Museum of Modern Art (New York), at the Kunsthalle Winterthur and Kunsthalle Basel (Switzerland), and at the 5th Berlin Biennial (Germany). Laumann Is currently artist in residence at Kadist Art Foundation, fondation pour l'art contemporain in Paris, France.
