No View, The Radio XI
Uileboombox
Lyckle de Jong

Lyckle de Jong is a The Hague based multi instrumentalist and composer working in the fields of pop, electronic music, contemporary classical, avant-garde and anything in between he feels drawn to experiment with. Apart from his own musical compositions and performances, he has worked as a producer for other artists of many different genres as well, ranging from mainstream to obscure. He seems to never remain in one place for too long, apparent in his constant shift from project to project and his constant search for different collaborations, both within the music scene and art world of the Netherlands and abroad. For this series he has developed ‘Uileboombox’, a mix of his own musical experiments, combining older pieces with original material, all with his distinct dreamlike textures.

About the series: No View, The Radio
The arts are taking a break. Theaters, museums, concert halls and galleries are closed. To a large extent, the art that is so desperately needed right now is inaccessible. Imagine being quarantined at home without films, without books, without music. Though we may not access the art, we can still think about it. The enforced rupture of this isolation can also be an opportune moment to reflect on and from, the arts. Every Friday for the upcoming weeks we will showcase original musical works by different artists, selected by Alex Andropoulos.
